So apparently it’s legal for recipients of Fulbright Grants to pay their U.S. taxes in foreign tender. It’s one of the few exceptions where this is possible.

On some level it’s going to be very satisfying to use a fat wad of big pink Chairman Mao bills. Timely also, given recent events. Wonder what the IRS does with foreign currency.
Update: Dangit! This is only possible if the grant is received in foreign currency. If the grant is received in USD it must be payed in USD. Le’sigh.
