about

tony

Laura and Tony are posted in China and South Africa respectively.  Their resumes are nearly identical, and involve Wisconsin.

Anthony Skriba (or, for those so inclined, 施同力) is interested in economics, game theory, people watching, vintage books, wandering around large cities, and taking overly artistic photographs of things that look run down. He is currently working at a boutique research / advisory firm in Shanghai. Previously, he was a Fulbright Researcher in Wuhan, Hubei and conducted a project about how legal reforms can be effectively implemented to better protect migrant workers. He can be reached at: anthony dot skriba at gmail.com.

Laura enjoys reading (the Economist, anything by Jhumpa Lahiri, and too much non-fiction), traveling (next: Asia, anyone interested?  Skriba, stay there for a couple of years, ok?), food & cooking, drip coffee, driving left-handed stick shift, playing frisbee, going on walks, exploring farmer’s markets and eating good food at farmer’s markets, kayaking/canoeing/sailing but not actually being in the water, and hanging out with friends.  Laura is currently not doing enough of the above items, but is working at the Free Market Foundation and trying to learn about traditional government and land reform in South Africa.  And “researching” anything else that seems interesting.  Let me know if you’re in the region.

We are trapped far away.

Please send books. Or coffee beans. That would be amazing.
