Near the base of the Jinmao Tower / Shanghai WFC there is a camp of about 35 migrant workers, doing landscaping work on the park pre-expo. The second image didn’t turn out very clear; the gentleman is washing dishes in a plastic basin.

It’s taken me a while to get over to 陆家嘴 with a camera, considering it’s about a 20 minute walk from the house. It’s not terribly pedestrian friendly at the moment. Might have become lost and ended up playing an extended round of frogger on a highway bypass. The photo below is a metaphor for Shanghai’s frantic postmodern hypercapitalist lifestyle… aaand it’s really difficult is to take a photo in low light while dodging vehicles.

Looks kind of a like a rock star while doing so.
