From the U.S. Consular-General’s house in Hong Kong (study for that State exam, the Diplomatic Corps has some swank digs). Unfortunately no Batman sightings on the Bank of China building. 

Perhaps it points to my lack of skill as a photographer, but I generally do not take good vistas / panoramas. Snippets – constrained pieces of reality like these always seem to turn out better. Maybe that’s how I experience the world. I have been accused of having a one-track mind.

There must be a caustic action scene set on this thing. How could you have the world’s-longest-outdoor-covered-escalator-system and NOT kung-fu on it? That lady right there is probably getting ready to roundhouse kick some triad member.
